A true paradise for lovers of this discipline, Svaneti offers opportunities suitable for every type of ski mountaineer, from short trips with limited technical commitment to true ski mountaineering routes with technical sections, large elevation gains, steep terrain, and glaciers.
Svaneti is a unique territory in the world, located in the heart of the Caucasus. Here, among peaks exceeding 5,000 meters in altitude, lie pristine valleys and stone villages that seem suspended in time, guardians of ancient traditions.
In addition to ski mountaineering, this trip to the Caucasus will allow you to visit the villages of Mestia and Ushguli, characterized by architecture from another era and ancient watchtowers, as well as to get in touch with local customs and delicious Georgian cuisine.

Day 1: meeting in Kutaisi, car rental and hotel accommodation
Day 2: car transfer from Kutaisi to Mestia and overnight stay in hotel
Day 3: freeride and ski touring day with short skins near the Tetnuldi ski resort. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 4: ascent to Guli Pass and descent along the same itinerary. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 5: ascent to the Mazeri and Detsili mountains with a circular tour and descent on the northern slope of Mt. Detsili. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 6: early morning transfer to Ushguli and ski touring trip to Mt. Gvibari. Overnight stay in hotel in Ushguli
Day 7: ascent to Mt. Karetta with a fantastic view of the Shkhara massif. Descent to Ushguli and return to Mestia. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 8: ski touring trip to the Koruldi lakes, offering a splendid view of the imposing Ushba. Overnight stay in hotel
Day 9: transfer from Mestia to Kutaisi. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 10: return to Italy.
